U.S. Embassy Windhoek Hosts Bureau of African Affairs Management Officer’s Workshop March 16 – 20

Embassy Windhoek hosted the Bureau of African Affairs Management Officer’s Workshop March 16 – 20 at the Safari Court Hotel in Windhoek, Namibia. Department of State Management and USAID Executive Officers from all over Africa attended as well officials from Washington, D.C., including the Director General of the Foreign Service, Harry K. Thomas. 

The workshop was an efficient and cost-effective way to engage with Department management leaders on pressing issues such as coping with other-agency growth, pursuing Collaborative Management Initiative (CMI) goals, promoting regional administrative partnerships, and maximizing benefits from administrative consolidation.
