United States Defense Attache Office

The primary responsibility of the US Defense Attaché Office (USDAO) in Namibia is to provide liaison between the US Department of Defense and Namibia's Ministry of Defense and Namibian Defence Force (NDF).

Additionally, the USDAO manages security assistance in Namibia. The USDAO administers a variety of U.S. military assistance programs with the goals of increasing cooperation between the U.S. and Namibian defense establishments and helping the people of Namibia meet basic human needs in rural and historically-disadvantaged communities.
USDAO manages multiple programs to include the following examples:
