Economic and Commercial Section

The Embassy's Economic and Commercial Section supports U.S. economic policy-makers and businesses by compiling reports that cover a wide range of economic topics. We also help U.S. companies export and invest in Namibia by offering insight into the local business environment. We can assist interested business people by providing contact information for potential local agents and distributors and we can even help set up appointments.

We also help Namibian businesses and government agencies by locating U.S. suppliers and by providing the latest U.S. trade-related information.

Support for U.S. Business

Under the Commercial Service-State Department Partner Post Program, the Economic/Commercial Section in Windhoek partners with the U.S. Commercial Service Southern Africa, located in Johannesburg, South Africa, to expand the commercial services and resources to support US businesses. Please visit the U.S. Commercial Service Southern Africa site to gain a better understanding of their activities at; http://www.buyusa.gov/southafrica/en/.
