INFORMATION RESOURCE CENTER

The American Cultural Center information resource center offers Namibians authoritative information on the United States.
Among our library resources are databases containing full text articles from over 500 periodicals, as well collections of books, videos, magazines and CD-ROMS offering comprehensive coverage of American culture, government, and institutions. The IRC staff offers guidance or provide information packages tailored to individual information requirements.

 

IRC services include:

  • Free Internet Service to the Public.
  • Commercial subscription databases such as Factiva, Lexis-Nexis and ProQuest, CD-ROMs and reference books
  • Pro-Quest on CD-Rom, a data-base which contains over 1,000 general periodicals, Pro-quest Direct, Lexis-Nexis.
  • Books and brochures on U.S. educational opportunities.
  • Student advisory services every Wednesday afternoon, 15:00 - 18:00.
  • A video library, where videos can be borrowed for one week or viewed in the video room.
